Debt Resolutions was established in 2002 after a successful beginning as Geraldton Legal Process Servers. GLPS commenced in 1995 in the Midwest region of Western Australia as a part time business from small beginnings with operations in process serving and field calls. In May of that year, repossessions were added to provide an additional service to the existing client base. Twelve months later, principal Steve Edwards applied for and was granted a debt collectors licence, opening the door for local debt recovery, and was on his way to establishing a nation wide client base.
In August 2001, the decision was made (with strong encouragement from wife Sally) to elevate the business to full time status, and resign from then employer City of Geraldton. Until October 2001, Steve had been operating via a labour intensive paper based system. He purchased a debt recovery programme in September 2002, and decided to split the current “Geraldton Legal Process Servers” into two, thus creating a dedicated debt recovery business; Debt Resolutions was born. Geraldton Legal Process Servers continues to service clients requiring process serving, field calls, repossessions and Repcol authorised Sheriff work, and soon to be appointed Bailiff duties.
Steve provides a complete debt collection service to clients who are many and varied, including Solicitors, Real Estate Agents, Mechanics Tradespeople, Transport companies, Accountants, Vets, Local Government Offices, Not for Profit Organisations, Educational Institutions and Retail outlets. Debt Resolutions has grown to being the premier debt recovery agency north of Perth and services clients with debts that span the globe.
